M.Phil-Basic Health Sciences

M.Phil. candidates in Basic Health Sciences will have to be full time research students for a minimum period of two and a half academic years. The award of degree shall be based on both, course work and thesis. The course work is covered in six semesters with the last two semesters for research and advanced techniques. The programme is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) and follows regulations for registration to research studies leading to the degree of M.Phil. in the following subjects:

  • Anatomy
  • Biochemistry
  • Physiology
  • Pharmacology
  • Pathology

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must possess MBBS/BDS degree from an HEC recognized university.
  • NTS / GAT / M.Phil. entry test
  • Interviews of candidates short listed on the basis of performance in the M.Phil entry test.

Final selection of candidates will be based on the previous academic record and experience, entry test and an interview.

  • Application processing fees: PKR 5,000/-
  • Admission fees: PKR 50,000/- (Non-Refundable)
  • Tuition fees: PKR 65,000/- Per Semester (4 Semesters)
  • Examination fees: PKR 10,000/- Per Semester (4 Semesters)
  • Thesis defense fees: PKR 50,000/-

Fee Structure for MPhil Oral Biology & Oral Pathology

  • Application processing fees: PKR 5,000/-
  • Admission fees: PKR 50,000/- (Non-Refundable)
  • Tuition fees: PKR 57,500/- Per Semester (4 Semesters)
  • Examination fees: PKR 10,000/- Per Semester (4 Semesters)
  • Thesis defense fees: PKR 50,000/-

Note: Any additional taxes imposed by the government will be the liability of the students/parents/guardian.

The University reserves the right to increase the fees if required according to the recommendation of the Governing Body.

Advance fees to be paid semester-wise. All dues need to be cleared within two weeks of commencement of the academic year. 2% surcharge per month will be levied on outstanding fees after the due date.
