Ziauddin Medical College hosts a variety of programs like undergraduate programs in medicine, postgraduate programs in Basic Sciences like M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs and also MS and MD programs in clinical disciplines.

It is also recognized for a number of training programs by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. The Ziauddin Medical College is part of the Faculty of Ziauddin Health Science. What is unique about the program is that we have strived to be innovative in our approach through its curricular implementation, its curricular delivery strategies, and assessment systems. Problem-based learning is for example one of the fundamental linchpins of our teaching and learning strategy.

We take pride in the fact that Ziauddin Medical College was one of the pioneers in the region to implement this system. Our quest for quality has taken us through a variety of steps and improvisations and we now have an integrated program both horizontally and vertically. This allows the students contextual learning right from the beginning, in a conducive environment that helps them not only to retain the knowledge better but also be able to apply it critically in their clinical years. The training sites for clinical disciplines are spread over three major tertiary care hospitals, this provides exposure to students to different social strata of the population and gives them the varied experience of patients and diseases that they require in real life.
